Warner Bros annonce pour le 12 juin 2018, le film Tomb Raider en format DVD et Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D et 4K Ultra HD, réalisé par Roar Uthaug et mettant en vedette Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Kristin Scott Thomas et Derek Jacobi.

Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.

Le père de Lara Croft a disparu depuis sept ans. La jeune femme, maintenant âgée de 21 ans, navigue dans les rues chaotiques d'East London en tant que courrier à vélo. Bien qu'elle n'ait même pas suffisamment d'argent en poches pour payer ses cours de boxe, elle refuse de prendre les rênes de l'empire mondial de son père parce qu'elle n'accepte pas l'idée qu'il l'ait quittée pour de bon. Voulant résoudre le mystère derrière la disparition de son géniteur, elle laisse tout en plan afin de rejoindre sa dernière destination connue, une île mythique qui se situe quelque part au large des côtes du Japon.

Toronto, ON, April 30, 2018 – Embrace your inner hero when “Tomb Raider” arrives onto 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD. From Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures, “Tomb Raider” is a story that sets young and resolute Lara Croft on a path toward becoming a global hero. 

“Tomb Raider” stars Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (“Ex Machina,” “The Danish Girl”) in the lead role, under the direction of Roar Uthaug (“The Wave”). Oscar winner Graham King (“The Departed”) produced under his GK Films banner. The film also stars Dominic West (“Money Monster,” “300”), Walton Goggins (“The Hateful Eight,” “Django Unchained”), Daniel Wu (TV’s “Into the Badlands”) and Oscar nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (“The English Patient”).

Uthaug directed “Tomb Raider” from a script by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Alastair Siddons, with the story by Evan Daugherty and Robertson-Dworet. The executive producers are Patrick McCormick, Denis O’Sullivan and Noah Hughes. The director’s behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography George Richmond (“Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation”), production designer Gary Freeman (“Maleficent”), Oscar-nominated editor Stuart Baird (“Skyfall,” “Gorillas in the Mist”) and editor Michael Tronick (“Suicide Squad”), Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”) and costume designer Timothy A. Wonsik (“Free State of Jones,” “Iron Man 3”). The music is by Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL (“Mad Max: Fury Road”).

“Tomb Raider” will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack for $43.99, 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack for $43.99, Blu-ray Combo Pack for $39.99 and DVD for $31.98. The 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack features an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc with the theatrical version in 4K with HDR, a Blu-ray disc featuring the theatrical version and a Digital version of the movie. The 3D Blu-Ray Combo Pack features a 3D Blu-Ray and a Blu-Ray disc featuring the theatrical version and a Digital version of the movie. The Blu-ray Combo Pack features a Blu-ray disc with the film and special features in hi-definition, a DVD with the film in standard definition and a Digital version of the movie.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of “Tomb Raider” will feature Dolby Vision^TM HDR that dramatically expands the color palette and contrast range and uses dynamic metadata to automatically optimize the picture for every screen, frame by frame.

Also, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D discs of “Tomb Raider” will feature a Dolby Atmos® soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theatre environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead. To experience Dolby Atmos at home, a Dolby Atmos enabled AV receiver and additional speakers are required, or a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar. Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also fully backward compatible with traditional audio configurations and legacy home entertainment equipment.

SYNOPSIS

Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent. Determined to forge her own path, she refuses to take the reins of her father’s global empire just as staunchly as she rejects the idea that he’s truly gone. Advised to face the facts and move forward after seven years without him, even Lara can’t understand what drives her to finally solve the puzzle of his mysterious death.
