20th Century Fox annonce pour le 29 septembre 2015, le remake Poltergeist en édition DVD et Blu-ray de Gil Kenan avec Sam Rockwell, Kyle Catlett, Rosemarie DeWitt, Kennedi Clements, Saxon Sharbino et Jared Harris.
Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.
Les Bowen viennent d'emménager dans une maison de banlieue. Pendant que papa va travailler pour rembourser les cartes de crédit, maman pourra écrire et prendre soin des trois enfants. Griffin n'est guère inspiré par cette nouvelle demeure, lui qui a peur des clowns qui se trouvent dans sa chambre et du gros arbre à l'extérieur. Sa jeune soeur Madison est plus courageuse, riant allègrement de tous ces phénomènes surnaturels qui apparaissent devant elle. Lorsque la fillette disparaît sans laisser de trace, sa famille fait appel à des experts pour explorer de fond en comble ce lieu qui pourrait être hanté.
