Sony Pictures annonce pour le 22 septembre 2015, le film Zathura 10th Anniversary Edition en édition Blu-ray de Jon Favreau avec Tim Robbins, Dax Shepard, Josh Hutcherson, Jonah Bobo, Kristen Stewart, Derek Mears et Douglas Tait.

Alors que leur père les a laissés seuls sous la supervision de leur soeur aînée Lisa, Danny, 7 ans, et Walter, 10 ans, occupent leur temps à se chamailler et à regarder la télé. En s'amusant avec Zathura, un vieux jeu de société doté de propriétés magiques, les gamins se retrouvent soudainement propulsés dans l'espace. À bord de leur maison devenue vaisseau spatial, ils vivent diverses péripéties dramatiques qui les amènent à oublier leurs différends. Avec l'aide de Lisa et d'un astronaute naufragé qu'ils ont accueilli à bord, Danny et Walter parviennent notamment à échapper au courroux d'un robot fou et à repousser les attaques de reptiliens carnivores. Il ne leur reste plus qu'à trouver un moyen de rentrer au bercail.

(SEPT. 9, 2015) – An all-time family classic is marking its anniversary this year and to celebrate, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Canada is releasing ZATHURA: 10^thANNIVERSARY EDITION on Blu-ray^™ Sept. 22. The feature includes all-new bonus materials, as well as an exclusive first look at the upcoming theatrical release Goosebumps (in theaters October 16), with stars Dylan Minnette and Ryan Lee introducing a clip from Goosebumps, before reflecting on their memories of the earlier film.

ZATHURA: 10^th ANNIVERSARY EDITION stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games franchise), Kristen Stewart (Twilight franchise), Jonah Bobo (Crazy, Stupid, Love.), and Dax Sheppard (“Parenthood”) in the story of two young brothers who are drawn into an intergalactic adventure when their house is hurled through the depths of space by the magical board game they are playing. The all-new bonus features include an animated storybook version of the book narrated by author Chris Van Allsburg and the original theatrical trailer. 

ZATHURA: 10^th ANNIVERSARY Synopsis:

In this heart-racing science fiction adventure, ZATHURA, two squabbling brothers are propelled into deepest, darkest space while playing a mysterious game discovered in the basement of their old house. On their fantastic journey, they are joined by a stranded astronaut and must survive meteor showers, hostile lizard-like aliens, a rocket-propelled robot who runs amok and an intergalactic spaceship battle. Unless they finish the game and reach the planet Zathura, they could be trapped in outer space forever.

ZATHURA has a run time of approximately 101 minutes and is rated PG.
