Sony Pictures annonce pour le 5 janvier 2016, le film Infinitely Polar Bear en édition DVD et Blu-ray de Maya Forbes avec Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, Imogene Wolodarsky, Ashley Aufderheide, Beth Dixon et Keir Dullea.
Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.
En 1978, le quotidien d'une famille pauvre de Boston est mis à rude épreuve. Maman déménage pendant 18 mois à New York pour ses études, laissant ses deux filles à son époux Cam. Ce dernier est sans emploi et il doit s'occuper de l'appartement et des repas tout en stimulant ses progénitures qui sont inscrites à une des pires écoles de la ville. Maniaco-dépressif, Cam refuse de prendre ses médicaments, ce qui occasionne de nombreuses frictions avec son entourage. Malgré tout son bon vouloir, quelques comportements déplacés et disproportionnés poussent le père à isoler malencontreusement sa famille.

(Oct. 19, 2015) – INFINITELY POLAR BEAR, an entertaining and touching portrait of the many ways parents and children save each other, depicts a bipolar father struggling to raise two daughters. The quirky and heartfelt family drama arrives on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on January 5 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Canada. The directorial debut from writer/director Maya Forbes, inspired by events from her life, stars two-time Academy Award® nominee Mark Ruffalo (Avengers franchise,Foxcatcher), Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy) and newcomers Imogene Wolodarsky and Ashley Aufderheide as their daughters.
Ruffalo delivers a strong, honest, and critically acclaimed performance. He plays Cam Stuart, a father of two, determined to take care of his children and himself, while his wife Maggie, portrayed beautifully by Saldana, moves away to attend graduate school in hopes of making a better future for her family.
INFINITELY POLAR BEAR was a film festival favorite, premiering at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival to great praise and a nomination for the Grand Jury Prize. Forbes won the ‘Director to Watch’ Award at the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival, while the film also screened at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival and this year’s Los Angeles Film Festival.
The Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD releases include deleted scenes, commentary with Mark Ruffalo, Maya Forbes and producer Wally Wolodarsky, along with a Q&A from the Los Angeles Film Festival with cast and filmmakers.
Synopsis:
While most fathers spend their days at work, Cam (Mark Ruffalo) is more likely to be found working on one of his many half-completed projects. As he recovers from a manic breakdown, his wife Maggie (Zoe Saldana) enrolls in an out-of-state graduate school program in the hopes of building a better life for her family. Cam agrees to become the primary caregiver for his spirited young daughters and quickly finds himself in over his head. Based on a true story, INFINITELY POLAR BEAR is a touching and entertaining portrait of the many unexpected ways in which parents and children save each other.
