Warner Bros annonce pour le 16 février 2016, le film The Iron Giant: Signature Edition en édition DVD de Brad Bird avec les voix anglaises de Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick Jr., Vin Diesel, James Gammon, Cloris Leachman, Christopher McDonald, John Mahoney, Eli Marienthal et M. Emmet Walsh.
Une piste sonore anglaise avec des sous-titres en anglais et français seront disponibles.
Adapté du livre de Ted Huges, The Iron Man, qui avait inventé ce récit pour consoler ses deux jeunes enfants de la disparition précoce de leur mère, la poétesse américaine Sylvia Plath, le Géant de fer évoque la touchante amitié d'un petit garçon et d'un robot géant venu d'une planète inconnue. Bien sûr toute la ville, puis bientôt le gouvernement et l'armée américaine vont prendre en chasse le géant et son petit ami qu'ils prennent pour les prémices d'une attaque ennemie.
