Amazon - Risen

Sony Pictures annonce pour le 24 mai 2016, Risen (La resurrection du Christ) en édition DVD, Blu-ray et 4K Ultra HD de Kevin Reynolds avec Joseph Fiennes, Tom Felton, Peter Firth, Cliff Curtis, María Botto et Luis Callejo.

Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.

Clavius, un soldat de Jérusalem, avec l'aide de son acolyte Lucius, se voit confier la tâche de résoudre le mystère de ce qui est arrivé à Jésus de Nazareth dans les semaines qui ont suivi sa crucifixion, durant l'an 33. C'est Ponce Pilate lui-même qui mandate le tribun alors que des rumeurs de résurrection, qui lui déplaisent grandement, se font entendre. En effet, le corps de celui qu'on pense être le Messie annoncé a disparu et Clavius devra le retrouver. Percer ce mystère permettrait certainement d'empêcher une rébellion et un soulèvement populaire qui se trame à Jérusalem.

TORONTO, Ont. (April 29, 2016) – Joseph Fiennes (Hercules), Tom Felton (Harry Potter franchise), Academy Award® nominee Peter Firth (Best Supporting Actor, Equus, 1977) and Cliff Curtis (“Fear the Walking Dead”) star in the biblical epic RISEN, debuting on Digital May 10 and on Blu-ray, DVD and next-generation 4K Ultra HD May 24 from AFFIRM Films and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Canada. The faith-based drama follows Clavius (Fiennes), a powerful Roman military tribune, and his aide Lucius (Felton), who are tasked with disproving the rumours of a risen Messiah in the weeks following the crucifixion of Christ.  RISEN also stars María Botto (“Mad Dogs”), Antonio Gil (Quantum of Solace) and Luis Callejo (The Boat).

 

Bonus content on the RISEN Blu-ray, DVD and digital formats includes three featurettes. In “The Mystery of The Resurrection: Making Risen,” director Kevin Reynolds, his cast and crew detail the making of the compelling film; in “A.D. Jerusalem,” fans learn how the production brought the ancient settings to life; and in “Script to Screen,” producers discuss the making of RISEN. Blu-ray and digital exclusive content includes deleted scenes and “The Battle of the Zealots Deconstructed,” a featurette that goes behind the scenes to see how one of the film’s most epic sequences was shot.

 

4K Ultra HD features four times the resolution of high definition, high dynamic range (HDR)--which produces brilliant highlights, vibrant colours and greater contrast on compatible displays--and Dolby Atmos audio, remixed specifically for the home theater environment, delivering captivating sound that places and moves audio anywhere in the room, including overhead.

 

Synopsis:

RISEN is the epic Biblical story of the Resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer.  Clavius (Joseph Fiennes), a powerful Roman military tribune, and his aide, Lucius (Tom Felton), are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus (Cliff Curtis) in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumours of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.

 

Based on the story by Paul Aiello with a screenplay by Kevin Reynolds and Paul Aiello, RISEN is directed by Kevin Reynolds. The film is produced by Mickey Liddell, Patrick Aiello, and Pete Shilaimon, with Robert Huberman and Scott Holroyd serving as executive producers.
