Warner Bros annonce pour le 21 juin 2016, le film Midnight Special en édition DVD et Blu-ray de Jeff Nichols avec Michael Shannon, Jaeden Lieberher, Joel Edgerton, Adam Driver, Kirsten Dunst et Sam Shepard.
Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.
Deux hommes viennent de kidnapper un garçon de huit ans. Ce dernier n'a rien dit, semblant connaître ses ravisseurs. Le trio roule dans une nuit noire en prenant soin de ne pas attirer l'attention. Cette disparition suscite la colère de son père adoptif, un pasteur énigmatique qui est prêt à tout pour le retrouver. Elle attise également la suspicion des membres du gouvernement, surtout depuis que le gamin a décodé des codes secrets. Cet enfant ne serait pas comme les autres et il possèderait des pouvoirs spéciaux, peut-être même de nature extraterrestre.

The film stars Oscar® nominee Michael Shannon (“99 Homes,” “Man of Steel”), Joel Edgerton (“Black Mass”), Kirsten Dunst (TV’s “Fargo”), Adam Driver (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens”), Jaeden Lieberher (“St. Vincent”) and Oscar nominee Sam Shepard (“The Right Stuff,” “August Osage County”). This all-star cast brings to life a suspenseful and heroic story about fatherhood and protecting the ones you love.
Jeff Nichols (“Mud,” “Take Shelter”) directed the film from his own screenplay. It is produced by Oscar nominee Sarah Green (“The Tree of Life,” “Mud”) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (the “Insidious” films, “Sinister”), who previously collaborated with Nichols on his critically acclaimed thriller, “Take Shelter.” Glen Basner (“Mud”), Hans Graffunder (“Somebody Up There Likes Me”), and Christos V. Konstantakopoulos (“Take Shelter”) served as executive producers.
“Midnight Special” will be available on June 21 on Blu-ray for $39.99, and includes the film in high definition on Blu-ray disc and a digital version of the movie in Digital HD with UltraViolet*. Fans can also own “Midnight Special” via purchase from digital retailers beginning on June 7.
SYNOPSIS
Writer/director Jeff Nichols proves again that he is one of the most compelling storytellers of our time with the sci-fi thriller “Midnight Special.” A provocative, genre-defying film as supernatural as it is intimately human, “Midnight Special” follows a father, Roy (Michael Shannon), who goes on the run to protect his young son, Alton (Jaeden Lieberher), a boy with mysterious powers that even Roy himself cannot comprehend.
What starts as a race from religious extremists and local law enforcement quickly escalates to a nationwide manhunt involving the highest levels of the Federal Government.
