Une Américaine qui étudie en médecine se rend dans un pays étranger pour voir la plage secrète que lui a tant vantée sa mère. Son amie lui ayant fait faux bond à la dernière minute, Nancy débarque seule dans ce lieu paradisiaque. Le soleil est chaud, les vagues sont hautes et l'envie de faire du surf est grande. La jeune femme finit toutefois par s'échouer sur la carcasse d'une baleine. Blessée par un requin qui la poursuit sans cesse, elle trouve refuge sur un rocher qui est situé à moins de 200 mètres du rivage. Synopsis:
In the taut thriller, when Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing on a secluded beach, she finds herself on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Though she is stranded only 200 yards from shore, survival proves to be the ultimate test of wills, requiring all of Nancy’s ingenuity, resourcefulness, and fortitude.
