TORONTO, Ont. (December 14, 2016) – APPLE OF MY EYE, the heartwarming and inspirational drama for the whole family, debuts on DVD and digital January 10from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Canada. A young girl (Avery Arendes), who defines herself by her equestrian abilities, struggles after she loses her eyesight following a traumatic accident. Her world changes when she meets her new companion and set of eyes, the miniature horse Apple. APPLE OF MY EYE stars Amy Smart (Starsky & Hutch) and Avery Arendes (Albion: The Enchanted Stallion), with Liam McIntyre (“The Flash”) and Academy Award® nominee (Best Supporting Actor, Boogie Nights, 1997) and Emmy Award® winner (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, “Evening Shade,” 1991) Burt Reynolds.

Synopsis:
Bailey (Avery Arendes) is a talented young teenager who tragically loses her sight in a horse riding accident. Her devoted parents, Caroline (Amy Smart) and Jason (Liam McIntyre) do everything possible to help her adjust, but she's unable to connect to anyone or anything. That is, until she meets Charlie (Burt Reynolds), a Guide Dog Trainer who introduces her to Apple, an affectionate miniature horse, who becomes her new eyes - and new best friend - in this inspirational film for the whole family.
APPLE OF MY EYE was written and directed by Castille Landon. The film was produced by Dori A. Rath and Joseph J. Restaino and executive produced by Neil Harrington, Thomas Kelly, Burton Ritchie and Tyler W. Konney.
