Lockhart est un jeune cadre ambitieux qui est lancé sur les traces de son patron, reclus depuis plusieurs jours dans un mystérieux centre de bien-être en Suisse. Sur place, il est victime d'un accident de la route et il est forcé de rester entre les murs de l'Institut le temps de sa convalescence. Le corps médical lui suggère des soins particuliers pour se désintoxiquer du monde extérieur. Peu à peu, Lockhart découvrira la véritable nature des traitements prodigués aux pensionnaires du centre. Saura-t-il s'échapper ou deviendra-t-il aussi une victime désarmée à l'image des riches résidents de l'établissement?
