Universal Studios Home Entertainment annonce pour le 11 juillet 2017, le film Smokey and the Bandit - 40th Anniversary Edition (Cours après moi shérif) en format DVD & Blu-ray, réalisé par Hal Needham et mettant en vedette Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jerry Reed, Paul Williams, Jackie Gleason et Mike Henry.

Des pistes sonores anglaise et française (Blu-ray seulement) seront disponibles.

Le "Bandit" doit conduire un semi-remorque de bière Coors du Texas à Atlanta en 24 heures.
