Vivafilm annonce pour le 28 juin 2011, le coffret The Lord of the rings - Extended Edition (comprenant les films The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers et The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) de Peter Jackson avec Ian McKellan, Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler et Sean Astin. Le coffret sera disponible en Blu-ray avec des pistes sonores anglais et français ainsi que des sous-titres en anglais et français. Pour les suppléments, il y aura :
