Paramount annonce pour le 15 juillet 2011, le film d'animation Rango de Gore Verbinski avec les voix anglaise de Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Ned Beatty , Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Stephen Root et Claudia Black. Le film sera disponible en DVD et combo Blu-ray/DVD avec des pistes sonores anglais DTS-HD 5.1, française 5.1, espagnole 5.1 et portuguaise 5.1 ainsi que des sous-titres dans les mêmes langues pour l'édition Blu-ray et anglaise, française et espagnole 5.1 ainsi que des sous-titres dans les mêmes langues pour l'édition DVD. Voici le synopsis :
Rango est un caméléon qui s'ennuie à mourir. Lors d'un accident, son bocal se fracasse et il se retrouve séparé de ses propriétaires. Seul dans le désert, il apprendra à courir et à se cacher pour sauver sa peau. Après une série d'hallucinations, le lézard aboutit dans un petit village perdu. Grâce à son courage et à beaucoup de chance, il obtient la faveur des habitants. Nommé shérif de l'endroit, Rango est confronté à un terrible problème : quelqu'un a volé le réservoir d'eau. Il faudra le retrouver, et vite, avant qu'il ne soit trop tard.
