Sony Pictures annonce pour le 2 octobre 2018, le film Sicario: Day of the Soldado (Sicario : Le jour du soldat) en format DVD, Blu-ray et 4K Ultra HD, réalisé par Stefano Sollima et mettant en vedette Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin, Isabela Moner, Elijah Rodriguez, Jeffrey Donovan et Catherine Keener.
Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.
La situation s’envenime à la frontière entre le Mexique et les États-Unis. Plusieurs personnes migrent au Nord pour commettre des actes terroristes. Afin de rétablir la sécurité du pays, le secrétaire à la Défense américain fait appel à son meilleur soldat. Matt Graver n’a pas peur de se salir les mains et il obtient le mandat de créer une guerre parmi les cartels mexicains. Une opération illicite qui est possible grâce à une force spéciale de frappe et la présence d’Alejandro Gillick, un complice tueur à gages habitué à ce type de mission. Leur route croisera celle d’un jeune passeur et d’une adolescente issue d’une famille importante.

Synopsis:
In SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO, the series begins a new chapter. In the drug war, there are no rules – and as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) calls on the mysterious Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), whose family was murdered by a cartel kingpin, to escalate the war in nefarious ways. Alejandro kidnaps the kingpin’s daughter to inflame the conflict – but when the girl is seen as collateral damage, her fate will come between the two men as they question everything they are fighting for.
