Warner Bros annonce pour le 4 décembre 2018, le film The Nun (La religieuse) en format DVD et Blu-ray. Réalisé par Corin Hardy, il met en vedette Demián Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Bonnie Aarons, Ingrid Bisu et Charlotte Hope.

Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.

Quand une jeune religieuse dans une abbaye cloîtrée de Roumanie se suicide, le Vatican envoie un prêtre au passé trouble et une novice ayant attiré l’attention du haut clergé à cause de ses visions pour enquêter cette histoire. Le fermier Maurice se joindra à eux. Ensemble, ils découvriront un terrible secret. Risquant non seulement leur vie, mais également leur foi et leur âme, ils affronteront une force malveillante qui a pris la forme d’une religieuse. La petite abbaye isolée dans les Balkans deviendra rapidement un champ de bataille horrible entre les vivants et les damnés.

Toronto, ON, October 23 – Your prayers have been answered when “The Nun” arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital. New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “The Nun” explores another dark corner of the “Conjuring” universe, whose record-setting films have terrified audiences around the globe.

The Nun” stars Oscar nominated Demian Bichir (“A Better Life”) as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga (TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Sister Irene, and Jonas Bloquet (“Elle”) as local villager Frenchie. The cast also includes Charlotte Hope (TV’s “Game of Thrones”) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria, Ingrid Bisu (“Toni Erdmann”) as Sister Oana and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her “Conjuring 2” role as the title character.

Corin Hardy (“The Hallow”) directed “The Nun” from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman (“IT”) and story by James Wan and Dauberman, which delves into the shocking origin of the demonic Nun Valak, who first made her evil presence known in “The Conjuring 2.” “The Nun” was produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, with Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Dauberman, Michael Clear and Todd Williams serving as executive producers.

Joining Hardy behind the scenes are director of photography Maxime Alexandre (“The Voices,” “Annabelle: Creation”), production designer Jennifer Spence (“Annabelle: Creation,” “Lights Out,” the “Insidious” films), editors Michel Aller (“Lights Out,” “Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension”) and Ken Blackwell (“Ouija,” “Friday the 13th”), and costume designer Sharon Gilham (TV’s “Black Mirror”). The music is by Abel Korzeniowski (“Nocturnal Animals”).

New Line Cinema presents an Atomic Monster / Safran Company production, “The Nun.” The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The Nun” will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $39.99 and DVD for $31.98. The Blu-Ray Combo Pack includes a Blu-ray disc with the film in high definition, a DVD with the film in standard definition and a digital version of the movie.

Fans can also own “The Nun via purchase from digital retailers beginning November 20.

SYNOPSIS

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.
