The Departed en 4K Ultra HD prochainement
Warner Bros annonce pour le 23 avril 2024, le film The Departed en 4K Ultra HD. Réalisé en 2006 par Martin Scorsese, il met en vedette Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson et Mark Wahlberg.
Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.
Synopsis :
A Boston, une lutte sans merci oppose la police à la pègre irlandaise.
Pour mettre fin au règne du parrain Frank Costello, la police infiltre son gang avec « un bleu » issu des bas quartiers, Billy Costigan.
Tandis que Billy s’efforce de gagner la confiance du malfrat vieillissant, Colin Sullivan entre dans la police au sein de l’Unité des Enquêtes Spéciales, chargée d’éliminer Costello. Mais Colin fonctionne en « sous-marin » et informe Costello des opérations qui se trament contre lui.
Risquant à tout moment d’être démasqués, Billy et Colin sont contraints de mener une double vie qui leur fait perdre leurs repères et leur identité.
Traquenards et contre-offensives s’enchaînent jusqu’au jour où chaque camp réalise qu’il héberge une taupe. Une course contre la montre s’engage entre les deux hommes avec un seul objectif : découvrir l’identité de l’autre sous peine d’y laisser sa peau…

The Departed’s prestigious ensemble cast stars Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant, The Wolf of Wall Street) , Academy Award winner Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting, The Martian), three time Academy Award Winner Jack Nicholson (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Terms of Endearment, As Good as it Gets), and Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter, Boogie Nights), with Emmy Award winner Martin Sheen (television’s “The West Wing,” Apocalypse Now), BAFTA nominee Ray Winstone (That Summer, Nil by Mouth), Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air), Academy Award nominee Alec Baldwin (The Cooler), Emmy nominee Anthony Anderson (television’s “Black-ish,” Hustle & Flow), and James Badge Dale in supporting roles.
Directed by Scorsese, the screenplay is by Academy Award Winner William Monahan and is based on the 2002 Hong Kong action thriller Internal Affairs by Alan Mak & Felix Chong. The film was produced by Brad Pitt, Brad Grey, and Graham King.

The 4K remaster of The Departed was completed at Warner Bros. Discovery’s Motion Picture Imaging (MPI) with the participation of the film’s Academy Award-winning editor Thelma Schoonmaker (Raging Bull, The Aviator).
About the Film
Martin Scorsese directs an all-star cast in this action-packed thriller set in Boston, where a long-simmering hostility between the police department and an Irish American gang led by Frank Costello is primed to explode. The fuse is lit when a gangster is chosen to infiltrate the police force – a young cop goes undercover within the gang. Now, when the two moles uncover each other’s identity, the battle begins.
