Synopsis :
Michael Long, policier brillant, est tué alors qu’il tente d’arrêter un dangereux criminel. Il est recueilli par Wilton Knight, patron d’une fondation secrète, oeuvrant pour le gouvernement. Contraint de changer de visage et d’identité, Long devient Michael Knight. Travaillant désormais pour la fondation, Michael, accompagné d’une voiture intelligente nommée K.I.T.T, va de villes en villes pour protéger ceux dans la difficulté.
