Date de sortie de Sigma Star Saga DX révélée

Le studio de jeux vidéo indépendant WayForward, sous licence de Bandai Namco Entertainment America, annonce la sortie de Sigma Star Saga DX, une version améliorée de ce jeu d’aventure/RPG/shoot’em up unique, disponible en téléchargement sur Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 et Steam le 7 avril 2026. Pour fêter l’événement, une nouvelle bande-annonce mettant en avant les personnages attachants et l’histoire pleine de rebondissements.

Sigma Star Saga DX est une version améliorée du jeu original Sigma Star Saga, sorti sur Game Boy Advance en 2005 et édité par Namco. Dévoilée pour la première fois sur consoles et PC, cette aventure de science-fiction combine action spatiale à défilement horizontal et exploration en vue de dessus, typique des RPG. Les joueurs incarnent Ian Recker, pilote terrien d’élite, chargé d’infiltrer l’empire Krill. Ils exploreront des planètes, récupéreront des objets et collecteront des informations à pied, avant de passer aux combats spatiaux en vue latérale, avec plus de 15 000 combinaisons d’armes disponibles, lorsque l’ennemi attaque. Agent double, Recker sera tiraillé entre deux mondes et croisera la route de personnages tels que la provocatrice soldate Krill Psyme et la brillante scientifique terrienne Scarlet.

Valencia, Calif. – March 9, 2026 – The countdown to liftoff has begun for an intergalactic epic! Independent video game studio WayForward, under license from Bandai Namco Entertainment America, is excited to announce that Sigma Star Saga DX, an enhanced version of the unique adventure/RPG/shoot-’em-up, will be arriving digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam on April 7, 2026, priced at $19.99.

Sigma Star Saga DX is an updated version of the original Sigma Star Saga, which was published by Namco on Game Boy Advance in 2005. Coming to consoles and PC for the first time, the sci-fi adventure combines side-scrolling space-shooter action with top-down RPG-style exploration as players control ace Earth pilot Ian Recker on his mission to infiltrate the invading Krill empire. Players will explore planets, acquire items, and gather intel on foot, then transition to side-view spaceship combat with more than 15,000 weapon combinations when enemies attack. As a double agent, Recker’s loyalties will be torn between two worlds as he encounters characters such as the provocative Krill soldier Psyme and brilliant Earth scientist Scarlet.

Fueled by Limited Run Games’ Carbon Engine and ported by Mighty Rabbit Studios, the console/PC version of Sigma Star Saga DX retains the graphics, gameplay, and audio of the original GBA release, plus it adds numerous refinements including an improved map, decreased random encounter rate, rebalanced EXP system, adjusted auto-fire, additional save points, assorted bug fixes, and more. The game also includes a variety of new extra features, such as a concept-art gallery, a music player, multiple border art options, a rewind function, and save states.
