Richard Jewell est un agent de sécurité qui habite encore chez sa mère. Pendant un spectacle musical organisé en marge des Jeux olympiques d’Atlanta, il trouve un sac suspect contenant des explosifs. Bien que l’engin finisse par éclater, plusieurs vies ont été sauvées grâce à son flair et son intervention hâtive. Devenu héros du jour au lendemain, le célibataire trentenaire apprend avec stupéfaction par les médias que le FBI le suspecte d’être l’instigateur de cet attentat terroriste. La presse à ses trousses, il fait appel à un avocat afin de prouver son innocence.

Burbank, CA, February 4 – What is reported as fact obscures the truth when “Richard Jewell” arrives on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. Directed by legendary filmmaker Clint Eastwood, “Richard Jewell” is based on the true story of the 1966 Atlanta Games bombing.
The film stars Oscar winners Sam Rockwell (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” “Vice”) as Watson Bryant and Kathy Bates (“Misery,” TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Richard’s mom, Bobi. The film also stars Jon Hamm (“Baby Driver,” TV’s “Mad Men”) as the lead FBI investigator, Olivia Wilde (“Life Itself,” “The Lazarus Effect”) as Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Kathy Scruggs and Paul Walter Hauser (“Late Night,” “I, Tonya”) as Richard Jewell.
Oscar winner Eastwood directed from a screenplay by Oscar nominee Billy Ray (“Captain Phillips,” “The Hunger Games”), based on the Vanity Fair article “American Nightmare: The Ballad of Richard Jewell” by Marie Brenner. Eastwood produced under his Malpaso banner, alongside Tim Moore, Jessica Meier, Kevin Misher, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson and Jonah Hill.
Eastwood’s creative team includes director of photography Yves Bélanger (“Brooklyn,” “Dallas Buyers Club”), production designer Kevin Ishioka (“Avatar,” “Dunkirk”), longtime costume designer Deborah Hopper (“Changeling”) and Oscar-winning editor Joel Cox (“Unforgiven”), who have worked with Eastwood throughout the years on numerous projects. The music is by Arturo Sandoval (“The Mule”).

The film will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on March 17. The Blu-ray and DVD features a Digital version of the movie.
