Amazon - Where Hope Grows

Sony Pictures annonce pour le 12 janvier 2016, le film Where Hope Grows (Les racines de l'espoir) en édition DVD de Chris Dowling avec Kristoffer Polaha, David DeSanctis et Brooke Burns.

Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.

Calvin Campbell, un ancien joueur de baseball à la retraite, déprime profondément parce que la compétition lui manque. Il va reprendre goût à la vie en se liant d'amitié avec une jeune personne handicapée mentale.

TORONTO, ON. (Dec. 15, 2015) – An inspirational story about the values of friendship and loyalty, as told through an unlikely bond between a former professional athlete and a young man with Down syndrome, WHERE HOPE GROWS is an uplifting and heartwarming story starring 
Kristoffer Polaha (TV’s “Mad Men,” Ringer) and David DeSanctis (first screen credit), available on 
DVD and Digital HD January 12th. Audience Choice Award Winner, Narrative Feature at the 2014 Heartland Film Festival and Official Selection for the 2014 Dallas International Film Festival, WHERE HOPE GROWS was written and directed by Chris Dowling (The Remaining, Rock Slyde) and also stars William Zabka (The Karate Kid, National Lampoon’s European Vacation), Brooke Burns (Shallow Hal, TV’s “Baywatch”) and Kerr Smith (Final Destination, TV’s “Dawson’s Creek”). Bonus features include a Filmmaker and Cast Commentary, Deleted Scenes, as well as the featurettes Casting David DeSanctis and Stop the “R” Word.

 

Synopsis: WHERE HOPE GROWS is an inspiring story of finding redemption through friendship, hope and love. Calvin Campbell is a former professional baseball player, struggling with the curveballs life has thrown him. His life takes on a new meaning after meeting Produce, a young man with Down syndrome who works at the local grocery store. As their friendship develops, Calvin is reminded that sometimes hope can grow in the most unlikely of places.

WHERE HOPE GROWS was written and directed by Chris Dowling.  It was co-produced by 
Alex Lehmann (Project X), and produced by Steve Bagheri (first screen credit), Jose Pablo Cantillo (Crank), Milan Chakraborty (Batman Begins) and Simran Singh (Dumbells). Co-executive producers are Gill Holland (Were the World Mine) and Sev Ohanian (Fruitvale Station), and executive producer is 
Jesse S. Jones (first screen credit).
