Sony annonce pour le 27 novembre 2018, le film Searching (Recherche) en format Blu-ray et DVD, réalisé par Aneesh Chaganty et mettant en vedette John Cho, Sara Sohn, Michelle La, Joseph Lee, Dominic Hoffman et Connor McRaith.

Des pistes sonores anglaise et française seront disponibles.

Après la disparition mystérieuse de la fille de 16 ans de David Kim, une enquête est ouverte auprès des autorités. La détective chargée de l’enquête croit à une fugue. Mais, 37 heures plus tard, David n’a toujours aucune nouvelle de son enfant. Il décide donc de fouiller le seul endroit que personne n’a encore sondé : l’ordinateur portable de sa fille. Le père inquiet épluche méticuleusement toutes les données contenues sur l’appareil électronique et étudie les traces que son adolescente a pu laisser sur les réseaux sociaux. Plus il avance dans son enquête, plus il constate qu’il ne connaissait pas sa fille autant qu’il le croyait.

Synopsis:
After David Kim (John Cho)’s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.
