Mothering Sunday en DVD prochainement

Sony Pictures Canada annonce pour le 28 juin 2022, le film Mothering Sunday en DVD. Réalisé par Eva Husson, il met en vedette Odessa Young, Josh O’Connor et Colin Firth.

Une piste sonore anglaise avec des sous-titres en anglais et français seront disponibles.

1924, Beechwood en Angleterre. Jane Fairchild est la bonne d’une famille d’aristocrates, les Niven. A l’occasion de la fête des mères, ses patrons lui accordent une journée de repos. Seulement, orpheline, Jane profite de l’occasion pour retrouver son amant, Paul. Ce dernier est le fils des voisins des Niven et il est fiancé à Emma Hobnay. Les Niven qui ont perdu leur fils lors de la Première Guerre mondiale se réjouissent du futur mariage de Paul comme si celui-ci était leur propre enfant…

SYNOPSIS
On a warm spring day in 1924, housemaid and foundling Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) finds herself alone on Mother’s Day. Her employers, Mr. and Mrs. Niven (Colin Firth and Olivia Colman), are out and she has the rare chance to spend quality time with her secret lover. Paul (Josh O’Connor) is the boy from the manor house nearby, Jane’s long-term love despite the fact that he’s engaged to be married to another woman, a childhood friend and daughter of his parents’ friends. But events that neither can foresee will change the course of Jane’s life forever.
